We are going to start in Knackly Online so go ahead and log into your workspace.
- Click on the Designer tab at the top right of your window.
- Click on the Catalog Model where you want the template. (This is usually a practice area name. Our example is LitigationDocuments.)
- Click on the Templates tab. (You will see templates we have preloaded for you.)
- Click Add a new template.
- Create a Name for the template that you will recognize. (It should have no spaces and we recommend using initial caps.)
- Under Type be sure to select docx.
- Click Ok.
- Under Assembled File Name you can select text that you would like the users to see. (For example, if your Template Name is EngagementLtr, perhaps your Assembled File Name will be Client Engagement Letter.)
- Click the Save button to lock in the new template. (The save disc in the red circle.)
- Upload is your next step, click there. You will want choose the downloaded copy of our sample for this learning session.
- Browse to that document, select it and click Open.
- Once again click on the Save button to lock in those changes.
